In Minnesota she worked at a regional theater where her character in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) was a comedy documentary that focused on beauty pages. She starred in a number of popular films during the decade that followed, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) and Living It Up (1954) with Martin Lewis.
